What do you need to look for if you decide to do a draping course.... would it just be the cost that you consider? 

Before you decide to take out a certain amount of money to pay for a course - sit back and do some research. Where do they train, How many students have they trained, Can they supply you with references of satisfied students? But most of all... Do they give you time to practice! It is easy for anyone to say I can teach you how to drape in one or two days... but remember... you must go home and go and set up an event with only one or two days training!

I can bet you that when you've walked out of the venue after that day you have forgotten half of what you've learned!
